Valentine cards made by Guild members for the Harwich COA lunch program were well received. Harwich COA director Emily Mitchell shared with event coordinator Peggy Rose, “recipients love getting little extras with their lunch!”
Being so successful, we are planning to continue the card making program but with a Spring/Easter theme. We have available for the membership card stock cut to size and scored along with envelopes. We ask artists to include an inscription on the inside of the card for example: “Enjoy the spring season from the Guild of Harwich Artists” or “Hope you are doing well from the Guild of Harwich Artists.” Similar sentiments acceptable.
The Spring/Easter themed cards need to be completed by March 25, 2021. Pick up blank materials at our Thursday Open Painting Sessions held at the Harwich Community Center, 100 Oak St., Harwich, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. In keeping with socially distant times, your cards can be dropped off or picked up by a Guild member with advance notification. The Guild is looking to complete a total of 85 cards, so as the old saying goes, many hands make light work! We thank you in advance for your participation.
If you have questions about this event, please contact Peggy Rose for further information.
