Biography: Natalie Stafford
After as career in teaching, I went to the Rhode Island School of Design to pursue my love of art, receiving a BA in Illustration. I took a job with Hallmark Cards in Kansas City after a year of freelancing. Surprisingly, I stayed at Hallmark as a Line Designer and Artist for 13 years. While in Kansas City, we adopted a young foster son and then moved back East to be near family. Â I freelanced for several greeting card companies and painted a lot. I sold art in numerous juried art shows all over New England, including Cape Cod. I also painted watercolor child and pet portraits.
When our son moved out of state in 2021, we were finally able to move to the Cape full time. I love the light here on the Cape and I keep discovering special places to paint. I love to paint outdoors and try to do that when I can. I have a studio in the Harwich Cultural Center and work there almost every day. I work in watercolor and oils and try to get goosebumps about something every day. Â WebsiteÂ
