Established in 1979, the Guild of Harwich Artists has become a vital member of the growing local arts and cultural fabric for which the Cape Cod town of Harwich is becoming known. Over the years it has been art that brings us together, but it is our supportive community of established and emerging artists that binds us together. Membership is open to all Cape Cod residents.
Joan Gilligan Carroll, oil and watercolor painter, is the featured artist for November at the Cape Cod 5 in Harwich Port. Her coastal and landscape paintings are frequently sketched and painted on location. She is a member of the Art Gallery in Harwich Port which is a division of the Art Guild of Harwich Artists. She previously taught art in the Braintree Public Schools for 35 years where she also served as Art Curriculum Director. Her work can be viewed during regular banking hours.
