Dear Guild members,
I really enjoyed meeting you all on Saturday. Thanks for being such a lively and supportive audience. You asked very good questions, and kept the conversation going. It was a lot of fun to work with you!
Many of you were interested in the kind of mounted board I was using for the painting. So I’m sharing a link from Blick Art. These come in different widths, from flat to wide. I use the ‘gallery profile‘ which is 1.5 inches wide.
I was asked send a picture of the finished painting. I worked on it for a few hours to develop it a little more. It might be interesting to see both images – as it was at the demo, and the finished painting – so I’ll share both with you. And it’s funny, sometimes I like the ‘sketchiness’ of an unfinished piece almost as much as the completed work!
I also forgot to tell you, several of my paintings, including this one, will be on display at my son Michael’s restaurant – The Mad Minnow- in Harwich Port this summer. So, if you’re in the ‘Port’ – check it out!
And lastly here’s my website if you’re interested in seeing more.
Again, it was a pleasure to meet you.
Best,
Marian
