Labor Day Silent Auction of Vivien Oswell Paintings & Prints
A silent auction of several paintings and prints by local artist Vivien Oswell will be held as part of the
Vivien, who turned 100 years old in June, was still producing oil commissions as recently as last fall. She is a co-founding member, along with Georgia Dearborn, of the Guild of Harwich Artists when in late 1970’s they began selling their art in Doane Park. The silent auction will run from 10am to 4pm; one need not be present to win. Proceeds will help fund a commemorative bench in the park.
Art-in-the-Park, now in its 43rd year, runs every Monday, 11am to 4pm, (weather permitting) till September 18th. Art works for sale include fine arts and juried crafts. The park is pet-friendly. Ample parking next door at Post Office Square.
