FREE PAINTING DEMONSTRATION

Eileen Casey, a local artist and instructor will demonstrate her approach to pastel painting at the Guild of Harwich Artists November meeting. The public is invited to the free event on Saturday November 17th, 2-4 pm at the Harwich Community Center at 100 Oak Street, Harwich MA, 02645. Refreshments will be provided.

Eileen Casey graduated from Emmanuel College, Boston with a teaching degree and a BA in Art. She taught art and has worked with children for more than 40 years. She is a pastel painter, print maker and instructor at the Cape Cod Art Center. 

Eileen has participated in many local and national exhibitions and has been recognized with numerous awards for her work, including three Best in Shows. Her work may be seen at the Sandwich Antique Center. She also has work at the Barnstable Municipal Airport through the end of the year.

Eileen is a Master Artist at the CCAC and an International Association of Pastel Societies Master Circle Artist. She is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod. She is a member of the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, Falmouth Arts Center, North River Arts Society, the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod and the Cape Cod & Islands Art Educators.

The Guild of Harwich Artists hold monthly meetings January through May, and September through November, at the Harwich Community Center, 100 Oak Street, Harwich, MA. Each meeting features a well-known Cape artist demonstrator. All programs are free and open to the public.
