Biography: Chris Banks
Chris’ interest in art started in 1978. Living in Worcester, she attended an Adult Education class in Decorative Art using oils and she was hooked!
1980-2005 As a member of the National Decorative Art Society took classes and intense studies on a regular basis (over 30 yrs) all over the country.
1990-1996 Wishing to share her knowledge Chris began to teach Adult Education in Worcester, West Boylston, Millbury and Assabet in Marlboro as well as private art lessons. Teaching painting in oils, acrylic and watercolor as well as faux finishes.
1992-2000 She worked at Pieces Hand Painted Furniture in Marlboro,
a custom wholesale furniture company making custom artwork and designs as an artist and business manager.

Working with designers and furniture stores throughout the country she would make trips every 2 months to NYC, Atlanta and High Point NC trade shows.
2002 Moved with her husband to Harwich and joined the Guild of Harwich Artists, her uncle Arthur Pervier being a charter member.
2004-Present Started Heart from the Heart, her studio and business.
2004-2012 She became the Director of the Art Gallery of the Guild of Harwich Artists.
2014-2016 Served as President of the Guild of Harwich Artists.
2019-Present Treasurer of the Harwich Cultural Council which funds cultural activities and initiatives.
2015-Present Member of the Harwich Chamber of Commerce.
2004-Present Started Heart from the Heart, her studio and business.
2004-2012 She became the Director of the Art Gallery of the Guild of Harwich Artists.
2014-2016 Served as President of the Guild of Harwich Artists.
2019-Present Treasurer of the Harwich Cultural Council which funds cultural activities and initiatives.
2015-Present Member of the Harwich Chamber of Commerce.
