Thinking OUTSIDE-The-Box this Summer

Matt Conners

Considering we are not able to be in close groups; I am encouraging you to paint outside with our weekly Thursday en plein air group! The outdoors is the best teacher for perspective, color, light, and shadows. I’m such a fair-weather painter I need a push, maybe you do too! Weather and parking impact each week’s time, and location.

This week Thursday, June 18th at Stony Brook Grist Mill & Herring Run in Brewster, 830 Stony Brook Rd, Brewster, MA 02631. I’ll be there at 9:00 a.m. Anyone can come at whatever time you choose. You can go on both sides of the road. There are stone walls, paths, gardens, and water.

I’ve painted here before and never disappointed. Sketch, photograph, paint in any medium or just get out and visit (masked) with your artist peeps. I look forward to painting and social distancing with YOU outside this summer!

  • Paine’s Creek, Brewster
  • Saturday Farm, West Harwich
  • Swan River, Dennis Port

PS:
In researching, I’ve discovered Cape Cod Art Center in Barnstable. There are lovely locations that we too can consider.
