Established in 1979, the Guild of Harwich Artists has become a vital member of the growing local arts and cultural fabric for which the Cape Cod town of Harwich is becoming known. Over the years it has been art that brings us together, but it is our supportive community of established and emerging artists that binds us together. Membership is open to all Cape Cod residents.

Mee Awarded First Place

Doris Mee was awarded first place in Mixed Media for her painting “Still Life in Purple & Green” at the Cape Cod Art Association member show on August 17, 2017. The theme of the show is “A Touch of Color”. The exhibit will be on display in both galleries through September 10, 2017 at Cape Cod Art Association, 3480 Route 6A (Main St.), Barnstable.

Meet Doris on Saturday, August 26 at The Art Gallery of The Guild of Harwich Artists, where is will create a still life, using her unique mixed media/collage method for creating this type of painting. She uses a wide variety of papers, which she hand paints in watercolor or acrylic in preparation for assembling her collage. Several new paintings will be displayed.
