Background
Raised in Needham. Graduate of Mass College of Art, BFA.Masters in Secondary Education, graduate courses in painting with various painters in Boston,  School of Museum of Fine Arts, and Mass College of Art.
Watercolor painting, 30 years. Workshops  with Bernard Gerstner, Elizabeth Gilligan Tom Hoffman, and John Dyke. Oil painting, 20 years. Workshops with  Vincent Crotty, Tom Hughes, Don Demers, and Sam Vokey.
I enjoyed teaching art to students in the Braintree Public Schools for 35 years and working as the art curriculum director/ department supervisor. Outside of school hours and on summer vacations, I honed my technical skills by sketching my three daughters. Each summer I painted along the NH and Maine coastlines as well as in Southwestern NH. In recent years I have exchanged the jagged rocks of NH for the sloping sand dunes of Cape Cod.  An exquisite pleasure of being retired is having the freedom to dedicate more time to painting and playing music.
