Colleen SantaLucia

Colleen studied art at Graceland College and has been involved in artistic pursuits ever since childhood, growing up with an artist father. As a young mother Colleen was an avid volunteer in her community and brought joy to many people through her art, crafts, and kindness. After retiring from Nursing, Colleen continued to pursue her artistic education. She studied colored pencil under James Nazzaro, a noted artist in the Florida community. All of her art is done with layers and layers of colored pencil over time, adding color until she is satisfied with her final product. She enjoys any ocean or beach, but especially Cape Cod where she and her husband have retired. They have been married for 48 years, have three grown children and 9 grandchildren, who all love to come and visit Cape Cod. She continues her art education with classes as she experiments with new media and new art techniques. Her inspiration comes from her love for her family, her love of the sea, and her love of color. Her subjects are a beautiful and whimsical mix of life and imagination. Colleen sells prints on her website, and her originals in Harwich, MA here on Cape Cod.
