Established in 1979, the Guild of Harwich Artists has become a vital member of the growing local arts and cultural fabric for which the Cape Cod town of Harwich is becoming known. Over the years it has been art that brings us together, but it is our supportive community of established and emerging artists that binds us together. Membership is open to all Cape Cod residents.

Enjoying the New Saquatucket Municipal Marina

The Guild of Harwich Artists gathered at Saquatucket Municipal Marina in Harwich Port last Saturday as part of their annual ‘Paint the Town.’ On a sunny June day, Guild artists, painting en plein air, spread out along the newly constructed harbormaster complex and Dockside Seafood Shack overlooking the boat-filled marina. Starting early in the morning and running through mid-afternoon, about a dozen artists captured the moods in the changing tide and light.

‘Paint the Town’ is part of the 85-member Guild’s on-going commitment to bring art to the community. In recent years the event has been held at Harwich Center, Harwich Port and Wychmere Harbor.
