5th Annual Harwich Conservation Trust Wildlands Music & Art Stroll

Robert F. Smith Cold Brook Preserve, September 9 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

The Harwich Conservation Trust (HCT) Wildlands Music & Art Stroll is one of many charitable events The Guild of Harwich Artists participates in throughout the year. The Stroll is a unique community event which raises funds supporting the mission of HCT to preserve land that protects woods, water, wildlife, and our shared quality of life.

In pastel, watercolor, oil, and acrylic, Guild artists capture the surrounding Robert F. Smith Cold Brook Preserve scenery, while engaging with the public, fielding questions about technique and subject matter. Artists donate their artwork to be raffled the day of the Stroll.  As some pieces are not completed on site, HCT arranges distribution to the lucky winners within the a couple of weeks after the Stroll.

The Robert F. Smith Cold Brook Preserve is HCT’s largest conservation destination, which includes a Bluebird Trail with 44 nest boxes. Music & Art Stroll visitors are entertained throughout the 66-acres by local musicians playing jazz, classical, and folk music on the original “piano in the woods” as well as guitar, clarinet, and other instruments. Ice cream will be available for purchase provided by The Local Scoop.

Park at Monomoy Regional High School (75 Oak Street, Harwich) and board one of the courtesy shuttle buses for the 5-minute ride to the HCT Wildlands Music & Art Stroll in Harwich Port. Event admission is a suggested donation of $5.00 per person.
